Sage West is NOW HIRING for a Respiratory Therapist to join our team!

The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for safely and effectively administering all phases of respiratory care per departmental procedures.

In this role you will:

• Perform accurate patient assessment for respiratory care, review patient information, and recommend appropriate therapy to the ordering physician.
• Administer respiratory medications via SVN, MDI & DPI, perform cardiopulmonary testing (EKG, PFT), set up, maintain, and manage non-invasive positive pressure devices and ventilators.
• Record accurate therapy and medication administration in the medical record in a timely manner.
• Educate patients on respiratory care procedures.
• Record therapy and medication administration electronically.

• Respiratory Therapist – Certified Respiratory Care Therapist OR Registered Respiratory Therapist (may be either a Certified Technician or a Registered Therapist). Registration by the National Board for Respiratory Care is preferred.

Current BLS certification through American Heart Association; ACLS current certification; PALS certification or within 90 days of hire; NRP current certification or within 90 days of hire.

• Minimum 2+ years of Critical Care experience is preferred.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in a Respiratory Department is preferred.
