GENERAL DESCRIPTIONThe Wyoming Department of Workforce Services is seeking a motivated and customer-focused professional to provide employment and training services to individuals and businesses throughout the community. Under general supervision, this position assists customers in identifying employment opportunities, training resources, and supportive services while ensuring compliance with federal and state program guidelines, policies, and regulations.
This position develops, manages, and monitors a caseload of participants enrolled in state and federal workforce programs. Responsibilities include assessing customer skills, education, and employment needs; providing career guidance and employment counseling; assisting job seekers with training and vocational opportunities; and referring individuals to employers or community resources that support successful employment outcomes.
The successful candidate will work closely with employers to identify workforce needs, develop recruitment strategies, and help fill employment and vocational training openings. Duties also include conducting on-site business visits, promoting coordinated agency services, assisting employers with workforce resources and training grants, and supporting hiring efforts through applicant referrals and follow-up activities.
Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate records and data within electronic systems for case management, job postings, reporting, and program compliance. This position also organizes and participates in community outreach events designed to connect employers with job seekers and increase awareness of Department services.
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals who may face significant barriers to employment while maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and a commitment to public service.
