The city of Evanston is a small and friendly Rocky Mountain community that is a 45‑minute drive from the world‑famous ski slopes of Park City, Utah. Concerts, shopping, dining, professional sporting events, and an international airport 60 minutes away in Salt Lake City. Evanston’s area is excellent for recreational activities such as hiking, camping, fishing, biking, snowmobiling, and cross‑country skiing.

Essential Functions- Direct Care: Provide professional nursing services in both chronic and acute care settings, building long‑term therapeutic relationships with patients.
- Assessment & Action: Apply training to assess patient health, implement care plans, and evaluate outcomes.

Skills:
Administer medications, provide pre‑ and post‑operative care, and review laboratory values. - Communication: Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to ensure the best patient outcomes.
- Leadership: Guide LPNs and aides as a clinical leader on the floor (no direct firing/hiring supervision).
- Education: Teach patients about health promotion and empower them to improve their lives.
- Knowledge of laws, principles, practices, and techniques of professional nursing.
- Knowledge of maintaining medical records, charts, reports, and observations.
- Knowledge of the nursing process and scientific process principles.
- Knowledge of public healthcare functions and essential services.
- Knowledge of applying medical diagnosis and treatment to patient care.
- Knowledge of scientific concepts as a basis for decision‑making.
- Knowledge of physical, biological, and behavioral sciences.
- Knowledge of evaluating services and programs according to standards.
- Knowledge of work management and leadership theory and practice.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws pertaining to healthcare.
Education: Associate's Degree (typically in Nursing)
Experience: 0–2 years of progressive nursing work experience, with acquired knowledge at the level of an LPN.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must be licensed or eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Wyoming.
Alternate Pathway: 3–5 years of progressive nursing experience with acquired knowledge at the level of an LPN, or substitute education and experience.
Physical Working Conditions- Must be able to lift/transfer patients to different positions.
- Lift medical/patient equipment varying in size and weight to about 50 lbs.
- Restrict clients for treatments, climb stairs to patient homes, and drive long distances.
- Travel throughout the state and to national conferences if requested.
- Work evenings, nights, and/or weekends when required by the situation.
- FLSA:
Non‑Exempt. - Pre‑employment drug and alcohol testing will be conducted on safety‑sensitive positions.
- A background check, including fingerprints, will be completed through the Wyoming Department of Criminal Investigation, the Department of Family Services, and the FBI.
- A current Influenza vaccination is required.
- Employees must follow all CMS COVID‑19 requirements.
