The salary range for this position is $27.00 to $30.00 an hour depending on experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Read and understand plans and specifications, including isometric and orthographic drawings. Visualize two dimensional drawings in three dimensions.
- Plan, lay‑out, weld, install test and repair all types of pipe and similar tubular products in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards.
- Produce quality work, meeting requirements of plans, specifications and industry standards.
- Follow established job‑site safety and regulations and maintain a safe and clean work area. Identify safety hazards you or other employees may be subject to and take all necessary corrective action to eliminate or minimize hazards.
- Use appropriate hand and power tools to properly measure, cut, assemble, weld and install all types of pipe and/or similar tubular products; install supports, valves and other control equipment; test installed piping systems and install all other related items in accordance with the applicable plans and specifications; bolt, clamp or weld parts to secure in position for welding; weld components according to specific process and code.

- High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) – preferred
- 1–3 years’ welding experience – preferred
- Must pass 6G weld test consisting of one coupon: 2‑inch Schedule 40 stainless, TIG with argon purge, Visual & X‑ray inspection.
- Communication:
Comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; able to ask questions to ensure understanding. - Mathematical:
Ability to calculate lengths and dimensions. - Reasoning:
Ability to understand information, ideas, direction and perform tasks; may ask clarifying questions. - Computer:
Basic interaction required to clock on and off work assignments.
- Perform repetitive movements, work overhead, use hands to grasp, reach with arms, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, twist.
- Stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, and twist; sit, climb, balance.
- Work up to 12‑hour shift in all weather and temperature extremes.
- Frequently lift and/or push or pull up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
- Vision adequate to perform all required tasks.
- Move in and around confined and cluttered places and uneven areas.
- Work over 5 feet above ground; no fear of heights.
- Employee will be required to wear personal protective equipment as needed.
- Employee is regularly exposed to noise, dust, varying types of smells.
- Employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles; must properly use and handle toxic or caustic chemicals.
- Employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, elevated work areas, and outside weather conditions.
- Employee is expected to work in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining a clean work area.
