Senior Accountant:

Salary: $75,000 - $100,000 per year

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This role is designed for a professional with extensive payroll experience in the construction industry.

• 1. Overseeing all payroll functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
• 2. Performing month-end close procedures, including the preparation and posting of journal entries.
• 3. Handling Union Payroll and ensuring all union-related financial obligations are met.
• 4. Performing job costing, tracking project costs, and ensuring accurate allocation of expenses.
• 5. Managing client billing, preparing invoices, and following up on any discrepancies.
• 6. Conducting variance analysis to identify and explain any significant variances in financial performance.
• 7. Reconciling all financial accounts, identifying any discrepancies, and taking corrective action as necessary.
• 8. Assisting with financial planning and budgeting processes.
• 9. Implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures.

• 1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior accounting role, preferably within the construction industry.
• 3. Extensive experience with payroll functions, including Union Payroll.
• 4. Proficiency in job costing and billing procedures.
• 5. Strong knowledge of month-end close procedures and journal entries.
• 6. Experience in variance analysis and account reconciliation.
• 7. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• 8. Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• 9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• 10. The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• 11. Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
