About the job:
The Fund Administration team is the backbone of our firm’s financial operations, working directly with our clients, which include leading private equity, venture capital, and fund of funds firms. The team is responsible for maintaining client general ledgers, calculating NAV, preparing financial statements, and managing capital activities such as calls, distributions, and partner capital accounts. We work closely with our clients’ teams and face off with external parties including auditors, tax advisors, and legal counsel to ensure smooth audits, tax reporting, and financial operations.
Our team also supports investor reporting by preparing capital account statements, waterfall calculations, and performance reporting. By delivering accurate, timely, and client-focused fund administration services, we help strengthen investor confidence, drive operational excellence, and support our clients’ growth and success.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets and profit and loss statements.
- Oversee daily equity, position, and cash reconciliations, investigating any discrepancies.
- Direct client interaction:
Handle client communications and manage ad-hoc requests, ensuring timely and accurate responses. - Assist in preparing working papers and schedules for annual audits and coordinate with auditors.
- Ensure accurate accrual and classification of expenses for income tax purposes.
- Lead and mentor a team of professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Ensure all fund administration processes comply with relevant regulations and internal policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA or CA certification preferred.
- 5-7 years of experience in fund administration or a similar role.
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.
- Willingness to travel, as needed
