This executive role involves identifying new market opportunities, building strategic partnerships, launching new products, and increasing revenue through business development across channels like retail, food service, private label, government contracts, and e-commerce.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies targeting shelf-stable food markets
  • Evaluate and prioritize new business opportunities
  • Secure new customer partnerships and distribution channels
  • Lead e-commerce strategy development
  • Build relationships with buyers, brokers, retailers, and partners
  • Represent the company at trade shows and industry events
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service agreements
  • Collaborate with R&D, marketing, operations, quality, and finance
  • Guide new product development based on market needs
  • Manage sales and marketing budgets
  • Update the executive team on KPIs, forecasts, and strategic goals

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Finance, or related; MBA preferred
  • At least 10 years of management experience in food manufacturing, focusing on business development or marketing
  • Knowledge of food manufacturing, regulations, and supply chain
  • Proven success in new markets, deal closing, and revenue growth
  • Experience with national accounts, retailers, or government procurement (preferred)
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with CRM, analytics, and e-commerce platforms
  • Ability to work independently and cross-functionally
  • Willing to travel up to 50%
