This position requires excellent project management skills, and good communication to report at all levels in the organization.

This role will help to drive consistency and standardization across global R&D project tools and practice with ongoing support for future R&D advancement projects.

Job Context & Complexity This role requires a strong understanding of strategy, innovation, and execution within a complex, global R&D environment. The role exists to ensure that the organization’s portfolio of R&D projects across multiple markets is aligned, value-driven, and optimally resourced. This role functions in a highly matrixed, cross-functional setting, coordinating with R&D leaders, business unit stakeholders, finance, regulatory, and operations teams across geographies.

The PPM Manager serves as the central integrator of portfolio intelligence, balancing short-term delivery needs with long-term innovation and growth objectives. The position has portfolio-level visibility and influence, shaping investment decisions, trade-offs, and prioritization that directly impact product pipelines, market responsiveness, and overall business performance within global health care markets.

Problem Solving Portfolio Management:

Develop and maintain a comprehensive portfolio of projects, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals.

Prioritize projects based on business impact, resource availability, and market demands.

Monitor and report on portfolio performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvements and filling business gaps.

Support the team in gathering metrics and systems to enable consistent data collection and alignment across global teams, driving standardization of dashboards and reporting.

Secure use and understanding of the Portfolio Management Process and set up the training needed for your regions, working with the R&D Operations PPM Project Planning and Execution:

Lead implementation and maintenance of stage gate process with clear governance implemented across all functions along with the tools required for the work to be executed.

Support the team with planning, execution, and delivery of projects within the portfolio, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, risk management and within budget.
