Position: Landscape Architect - Evansville, IN

We're looking to add an experienced Landscape Architect to the team in our Evansville, IN, office. We are looking for someone excited about the possibilities ahead as we grow. Hafer's team of architects, engineers, planners and interior designers thrives on working together to create holistic designs for our workplace, education, community and healthcare clients.
The essential duties and responsibilities of this position are:
Coordinate with architects, project managers, and engineers to understand the parameters of a project and develop a creative design per the Hafer Way processCoordinate the arrangement of existing and proposed land features and structuresPrepare cost estimates of landscape designPrepare graphic representations of plans using computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) software. Knowledge of Revit is a plusPrepare construction documents including site plans and specifications for bidding purposesProvide master planning and direction for complex design work for current or expansion developmentReview and ensure all plans meet applicable code requirementsCoordinate and plan planting projectsSelect appropriate landscaping materials and knowledge of plants, and materials that are sustainable and appropriate for the area specifiedAnalyze environmental reports on land conditions, such as drainage and energy usagePerform site observations during construction to document landscape project progress to ensure that it adheres to plansAdminister knowledge of master planning activitiesPerform additional duties as assignedSeek new work through marketing activities or by giving presentationsRequirements:
Professional and positive attitudeBachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, a Master of Landscape Architecture is preferred7+ years of relevant experience in landscape architecture and design including construction-related experience. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be consideredKnowledge of the principles and practices of landscape architecture and design including construction, technical design, and construction techniques; knowledge of applicable building codes, planning, and American Disabilities Act requirements.Knowledge of site analysis, layout, grading and drainage, irrigation, traffic and parking, building, and landscaping including specifications, designs, and cost estimatesLicensure is not required but preferredAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and citizensAbility to organize and carry out higher-level landscape design projects and programsAbility to present results in oral, written, and design drawing formatsStrong communication, presentation, and organizational skillsExcels at problem-solving, has analytical skills, and seeks to improve their skillsIs self-motivated and can work on multiple projects at one timeCan work as part of a team without direct daily supervisionExperience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED/WELL AP (desired, but not required)Willingness to learn new processes and explore new conceptsAn understanding that your opportunities are as limitless as your imaginationWe have:
