Position: Interior Designer - Evansville, IN

We're looking to add an experienced Interior Designer to the team in our Evansville, IN, office. We are looking for someone excited about the possibilities ahead as we grow. Hafer's team of architects, engineers, planners and interior designers thrives on working together to create holistic designs for our workplace, education, community and healthcare clients.
The essential duties and responsibilities of this position are:
Strong knowledge and skill in conceptualization, schematic design, and design developmentExperience with preparing probable cost summaries for interiors workResearching, selecting, and specifying materials and finishesDeveloping design documents and renderings using Revit, Sketch Up, Adobe Creative SuitePreparing and assembling furniture bid packagesCollaborating with team members and consultants to deliver projectsPresenting design concepts and material selections to clientsParticipating in client meetings and maintaining ongoing relationshipsContributing to sustainable design initiatives if applicableRequirements:
Bachelor’s degree in interior design, architecture, space planning, or related field from an accredited school1-5 years’ experience in commercial interior design or interior architectureProficient knowledge of Revit, Sketch Up, and Adobe Creative SuiteStrong communication, presentation and organizational skillsSkilled in researching, selecting, and specifying material and finishes and specification writingFamiliar with furniture selection and assembling furniture bid packagesExperience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED/WELL AP (desired, but not required)Willingness to learn software programs necessary to convey design intentPossesses a positive attitudeIs self-motivated and can work on multiple design projects at one timeAble to work as part of a team without direct daily supervisionEnjoys design research, excels at problem solving, and seeks to improve their skillsAbility to establish and maintain ongoing, productive client relationshipsWe have:
