Lead Healthcare Architect for the Evansville, IN studio, overseeing client relationships, project management from design to construction administration, and regional portfolio expansion. Eligible candidates may be considered for shareholder status with appropriate qualifications.
TheEssential Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise, direct, and sequence project team activities across all design disciplines and consultants throughout all project phases.
- Develop technical drawings and specification mark‑ups for project architects, draftsmen, and emerging graduates.
- Establish design budgets and schedules to meet deadlines.
- Provide creative solutions to design or construction questions.
- Lead the creation of presentation documents and client meetings.
- Cultivate positive client relationships and focus on client satisfaction.
- Manage projects from conceptual design through construction administration with support from internal teams in Evansville and across the firm.
- Work closely with office leadership to broaden the regional portfolio.
- Observe construction progress and deliver construction administration services.
- Apply knowledge of industry standards, building codes, trends, structures, and architectural advancements.
- 9+ years of architectural experience.
- 5+ years of healthcare architecture experience.
- Accredited (NAAB) Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Master of Architecture.
- Licensed Architect in Indiana or eligibility to become licensed in Indiana.
- Proven client relationship and project opportunity cultivation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and time‑management abilities.
- Experience in developing project fees, managing budgets, and reviewing invoices and contracts.
- Knowledge of local and healthcare code requirements and agency interface.
- Document accuracy assurance for client(s), consultant(s), and project team(s).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe, and related communication software;
Revit or AutoCAD is a plus. - Creativity and passion for great design.
- Professional, positive attitude with strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Strong problem‑solving abilities.
- Commitment to continual learning and self‑improvement.
- Ability to work independently within a team.
- Interests in sustainable design/LEED/WELL AP (desired but not required).
- Willingness to learn new processes and explore concepts.
