POSITION DETAILS:
This position works 40 weeks per year, 5 days per week at 7 hours per day. This position will begin in the 26-27 school year.
SALARY:
Year Hourly Rate 1 $ 14.21 2 $ 14.67 3 $ 15.15 4 $ 15.61 5 $ 16.08 6 $ 16.55 7 $ 17.01 8 $ 17.36 9 $ 17.73 10 $ 18.07 11 $ 18.43 12 $ 18.77 The hourly rate for a current EVSC assistant will be based on years of service with EVSC in an assistant role.
Annual, incremental pay increases are given for each year of service with the EVSC in this role if an employee has worked 120 days in a school year. New employees will begin on year 1.
BENEFITS: EVSC offers four (4) Anthem medical insurance plans. Single medical, dental and vision insurance are provided with this position. Employees may pay the additional cost to add family members. to view the rates for each plan. If elected, insurance coverage begins the first of the month following the successful completion of a 30-day probationary period. Employees enrolled in an EVSC medical insurance plan are eligible to use any of the three EVSC Health & Wellness Centers.
The health clinics provide primary care services, generic prescription medications, physicals, health screenings, and labs; all at NO COST to the employee or covered family member. EVSC is proud to provide accumulated paid time off for:
Sick Time Holidays Personal Business Days Snow days! EVSC employees have access to the EVSC Wee Care Learning Centers. The Wee Care program provides a quality early learning experience for employees' children as young as six weeks through age five at a special employee rate. This position will automatically be enrolled in the Public Employees' Retirement Fund (PERF) through the state of Indiana, which includes a defined benefit (Pension) as well as an Annuity Savings Account (ASA).
Employees may also participate in a 403(b) Plan. Enrolling in the 403(b) plan allows employees to save for their retirement by making a pre-tax salary deferral contributions to the Plan. Eligible employees may enroll in the EVSC group life insurance and long term disability plans. EVSC also offers a variety of voluntary insurance products through American Fidelity. EVSC offers a free Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
It is a confidential, voluntary service that provides professional counseling and referral services designed to help employees and their family members with personal, job or family-related matters.
REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or GED required.
SUMMARY:
The In-School Suspension Monitor is responsible for supervising students assigned to the in-school suspension program and maintaining a structured, respectful, and academically focused environment. The ISS Monitor works collaboratively with teachers, administrators, counselors, and support staff to ensure students remain engaged in coursework while promoting positive behavior and accountability.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Other duties may be assigned. Supervise and monitor students assigned to in-school suspension throughout the school day. Maintain a safe, orderly, and structured environment conducive to learning and academic productivity. Collect assignments, instructional materials, and coursework from teachers for students assigned to ISS. Ensure students complete assigned academic work and follow established classroom expectations and behavioral guidelines. Return completed assignments and materials to appropriate teachers in a timely manner.
