Visiting Assistant Professor of Mathematics

The Department of Mathematics at University of Evansville invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor beginning August 1, 2026.

The successful applicant will teach approximately 24 credit hours of undergraduate mathematics and statistics courses during the  academic year and actively contribute to departmental activities. Applicants should demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and advising undergraduates.

Candidates must hold, or be near completion (ABD), of a Ph.D. in statistics, data science, or a closely related field, or a Ph.D. in mathematics with significant experience in statistics or a related area. Evidence of effective teaching of undergraduate mathematics or statistics courses is expected. Desirable qualifications include experience with computer programming, particularly in R or Python, and familiarity with data science methods, such as machine learning or large-scale data analysis.
