Special Education Teacher
Special Education Teacher position in Evansville, Indiana for a 36-week contract. Pay up to $53 per hour based on experience. Opportunity to support students with special needs in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop individualized education plans for students with special needs
- Implement instructional strategies tailored to diverse learning styles
- Collaborate with general education teachers to adapt curriculum
- Conduct assessments and progress monitoring
- Provide classroom support and behavior management
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records
- Attend professional development and training sessions
- Minimum 1 year of experience in special education or equivalent
- Standard certifications required (see facility descriptions)
- Experience with EMR systems
- Experience with scrubs and floating as per facility requirements
- Standard housing, orientation, and compliance requirements
- Weekly direct deposit at rates 13% above market average
