QualificationsPrior coaching experience preferred.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- To ensure full compliance with all school and board policies.
- Work cooperatively with staff.
- Relate positively to parents and community representatives.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of all required records and reports.
- Demonstrate proficiency in standard English.
- Accept and fulfill responsibilities beyond the team setting as they pertain to school expectations.
- Assume responsibility for care of materials, equipment, and facilities.
- Ensure a clean, orderly, and safe environment.
- Foster and model positive interactions among student-athletes and build supportive relationships with the school and community.
- Demonstrate enthusiasm for coaching and learning.
- Promote self-direction and self-motivation in students.
- Create clearly defined standards of behavior and academic performance.
- Exhibit comprehensive knowledge of the sport or area being coached.
- Adapt instruction to align with individual needs, abilities, and interests of student-athletes.
- Develop and sustain an organized athletic program with long-term planning.
- Employ a diverse range of strategies and resources to enhance development.
- Clearly convey fundamental expectations to student-athletes.
- Utilize appropriate coaching techniques and learning activities.
- Maintain effective monitoring of student progress and inform appropriate persons.
