Position: Constructions Management Intern (STRIVE Program)
Job Overview:

The Aptim Construction Management (CM) Internship Program is designed to provide students with hands-on experience in the construction field while supporting ongoing project needs. Interns will be exposed to various departments, including Construction Management, Health, Safety & Environment (HSE), and Quality Control (QC). The program emphasizes mentorship, innovation, real-world experience, and professional development to ensure a mutually beneficial learning environment.

This is a temporary position.

The STRIVE Internship Program is a 12-week experience running from May 18, 2026 through August 7, 2026. Interns are required to be fully available during Week 1 (May 18-22) and Week 12 (August 3-7) of the program. Week 12 includes company-paid travel to an APTIM office (location to be announced) for an end-of-internship celebration.

Interns are expected to minimize absences to ensure a meaningful program experience. The program observes Memorial Day (May 25, 2026) and Independence Day (July 3, 2026, observed).

Key Responsibilities /Accountabilities:

* Shadow Project Managers (PMs), Construction Managers (CMs), and HSE/QC professionals

* Support construction site activities and assist in field reporting

* Contribute ideas for implementing new technologies, software, or methods

* Attend and support meetings, audits, and field inspections

* Assist in reviewing construction documents, control plans, and specifications

* Perform estimating, procurement tracking, and basic schedule updates

* Help streamline reporting processes through digital tools and automation

* Develop scopes of work for subcontractors

* Assist with subcontractor coordination and change order development

* Review and understand equipment maintenance and repair logs

Basic Qualifications:

* Must be enrolled in an accredited program with the following programs:

* Construction Management

* Civil Engineering

* Mechanical Engineering

* Environmental Engineering

* Safety Management

* Occupational Health and Safety

* Business Administration (project coordination, logistics, or operations focus)

* Forestry (construction interest or transition focus)

* Project Management

* Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

* Must be local to the worksite or willing to relocate (no relocation support)

* Be able to work in an outdoor environment

* Basic understanding of construction processes and terminology

* Strong organizational and communication skills

* Ability to work in a team environment and take direction

* Willingness to work in an active construction site environment

Preferred Qualifications:

* Familiarity with platforms such as Procore, Primavera P6, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Revit/BIM 360

* Field data collection tools (e.g., Plan Grid, Raken, ArcGIS)

* Safety management apps or mobile inspection software

* Interest in sustainability, automation, or digital transformation in construction

* Basic knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910/1926

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay range for this position is $20 to 25 per hour. Compensation depends on several factors including: experience, education, key skills, geographic location of the position, client requirements, external market competitiveness, and internal equity among other employees within APTIM.
