Traylor Bros., Inc. (TBI) National Heavy Civil division provides comprehensive, cutting‑edge heavy civil/underground construction services through traditional and non‑traditional delivery methods. TBI has completed more than 135 complex bridge construction and rehabilitation projects across the nation, including world record cable‑stayed structures and segmental bridges. The group has also provided deep‑water container piers, wharf facilities, transit terminals, locks, and dams for large port authorities and the maritime industry.

Perform engineering duties in planning, designing, and supervising construction projects by planning, organizing, and controlling day‑to‑day tasks; complete quality inspections; supervise subcontractors and field engineers.

• Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, plans, specifications, contractual documents, aerial photography, and other topographical or geologic data to plan projects
• Provide critical information about the current status of a project and accurately estimate how it will finish from a cost and revenue perspective from where it started
• Work closely with Walkers/Superintendents regarding project planning, field leadership, work‑plan development, submissions, and approvals
• Conduct recurring team meetings to stay aligned with the expectations and goals of a project
• Manage complex material supplies and draft scopes of work for subcontractors
• Develop work plans and hazard analysis plans for crews to follow to execute the work safely
• Understand and promote innovation for cost and schedule improvements
• Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications, safety standards, and productivity goals
• Perform complex construction designs – SOE, Hydraulics, PLC, Marine, etc.
• Assume additional responsibilities as directed by division and corporate management. Travel as required to attend meetings, site visits, training, etc.
• Ability to relocate as needed

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or an engineering‑related field
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in heavy civil construction
• Experience with bridge construction strongly preferred
• Marine construction experience is preferred
