We're looking for a Senior Process Engineer who is passionate about improving manufacturing processes, implementing automation, and leading capital projects that drive operational excellence. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll work closely with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, EHS, and IT to optimize existing processes while helping shape the future of our manufacturing operations.
What You'll Do Process Improvement- Lead process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Improve production yield, throughput, quality, and cost efficiency.
- Troubleshoot complex manufacturing and equipment issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Design, implement, and improve automated process control systems.
- Support PLC programming and troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar).
- Enhance SCADA, HMI, and real-time monitoring systems.
- Participate in automation upgrades and Industry 4.0 initiatives.
- Lead capital projects from concept through startup and commissioning.
- Develop equipment specifications and assist with vendor selection.
- Manage equipment installation, validation, and startup activities.
- Coordinate contractors while ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
- Develop capital project justifications, ROI analyses, and payback calculations.
- Manage CAPEX budgets and monitor project performance.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to drive long-term operational improvements.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
- 7+ years of process engineering experience in a manufacturing, chemical, or industrial environment.
- Proven experience leading capital projects.
- Hands‑on experience with PLCs, automation, and process control systems.
- Strong understanding of instrumentation and industrial control systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
- Experience with SCADA, HMI, and industrial networking (Ether Net/IP, Modbus, Profibus).
- Background in specialty chemicals, polymers, or batch processing.
- Experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.
- Lead high-impact automation and capital projects.
