Responsibilities

  • Assist with listing and tagging equipment, clerking the actual auction whether in person or online
  • Catalog equipment for sale in all auctions by creating detailed write-ups, descriptions, and photos
  • Dedicated to learning and understanding the auction industry, standards, and best practices
  • Collaborate with internal departments and equipment owners to gather information and documentation
  • Perform lot building, setting auction parameters, and managing the bidding processes through auction software
  • Provide professional customer service and support to bidders, as needed
  • Describe and photograph the auction listings in a way that encourages bidding and to best represent the equipment
  • Responsible for meeting operational deadlines for finalizing auction listings and catalogs
  • Assists in the preparation of and timing for marketing materials for upcoming auctions
  • Willing and able to travel for SIGMA Auction to catalog lots and coordinate with rigging companies
  • Meet the operational standards of the SIGMA Auction Showroom
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical, business or a related field strongly preferred; at a minimum must possess a high school diploma
  • Must be experienced researching items on the internet.
  • Experience with optimizing images for web use with tools such as Corel or Photoshop is a plus
  • Proficient computer skills and ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and highly motivated
  • Ability to read equipment manufacturer's operation manuals, maintenance manuals and machine schematic drawings.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
