Liberty FCU, a full-service credit union, is currently seeking a Consumer Loan Officer
. The Consumer Loan Officer plays a critical role in serving our members by identifying their lending needs and offering personalized loan solutions that are professional, positive, and member focused. The position involves meeting performance goals, deepening member relationships, and delivering a consistent and exceptional lending experience from start to finish.
- Provide consumer loan applicants with a lending experience that is friendly, professional, and tailored to their financial goals.
- Build strong relationships with new and existing loan applicants, positioning yourself as their personal lender.
- Maintain a positive, solution‑focused attitude in all interactions.
- Actively participate in outbound call campaigns to follow up on leads, offer assistance, or promote new opportunities.
- Accurately process consumer loan applications from start to finish, including taking applications, reviewing credit reports, and closing approved loans.
- Consistently meet or exceed individual lending and sales goals (i.e. loan volume).
- Present optional loan protection products and consistently meet protection product sales goals.
- Identify additional loan opportunities and make referrals to other departments when appropriate.
- Be willing to work a modified work schedule if necessary, including some evenings and Saturdays.
- Follow all credit union policies, lending procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure proper documentation is collected and loan files are compliant and complete.
- Handle confidential member information with care and integrity.
- Collaborate with team members to meet department goals and ensure excellent overall member experience.
- Maintain clear and respectful communication with both internal team members and external loan applicants.
- Participate in training, coaching, and development opportunities to improve skills and performance.
- Maintain punctual attendance and flexibility to work evenings or Saturdays as required by department needs.

- Lending Contact Center (Centralized Sales)
- High School Diploma/GED
- Previous experience at a financial institution or 3 years sales experience preferred
