Payroll Analyst

Salary: $70,000 - $85,000 per year

Job Details

We are seeking an experienced and detail‑oriented Payroll Analyst to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. As a Payroll Analyst, you will be responsible for managing all payroll activities and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all payroll functions. You'll be working in a fast‑paced, challenging environment where your skills in construction, variance analysis, Canadian and US payroll, reconciliation, and Davis Bacon will be put to the test.

This position requires a minimum of three years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities
  • Processing and managing all aspects of payroll for both Canadian and US employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Conducting thorough variance analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
  • Reconciling payroll data and ensuring accurate reporting and recording of payroll transactions.
  • Ensuring compliance with Davis Bacon Act requirements in all payroll functions.
  • Collaborating with HR and Finance teams to ensure seamless integration of payroll data with other business systems.
  • Preparing and delivering payroll reports for review by management.
  • Staying updated on changes in payroll and tax laws and regulations and ensuring company compliance.
  • Participating in internal and external audits related to payroll and providing necessary documentation and information.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of three years of experience in payroll processing, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Proven experience with variance analysis, Canadian and US payroll, reconciliation, and Davis Bacon.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems and regulations.
  • Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
  • Proficient in using payroll software and other related systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
