Job Overview:

  • Performs diagnostic sonographic imaging procedures.
  • Performs quality control and quality assessment.
  • Assists physicians with interventional procedures.
  • Takes on-call duty and responds to emergency call back.
  • Participates in staff in-service program.
  • Keeps area supplied and clean.
  • Assists with orientation of new staff and students.
  • Assists clerical area when needed.
  • Perform EMR/PACS functions.
  • Maintains equipment to decrease downtime and overtime expense.
  • Participates in performance improvement and quality assurance initiatives

Required:
Certifications/Licenses/

Education:

  • The individual must be a graduate of a recognized Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or meet clinical experience, didactic course work and alternative eligibility as specified in the ARDMS application for certification instructions.
  • Employee must be RVT and/or RVS and RDMS registry eligible upon hire. Employee will be required to obtain RVT and/or RVS and RDMS within first 18 months.
  • If employee is RDMS or registry eligible, no additional experience necessary.
