Southwestern Behavioral Healthcare is seeking a Director of Addiction Services to join our team. This full-time role is responsible for overseeing the clinical and administrative aspects of our Addiction Services program, supporting both staff and clients to ensure high-quality care. - Direct, coordinate and supervise the overall operation of the programs/services within Addiction Services, including the outpatient and residential programs and support staff.
- This would include collaborating with: the Director of Outpatient Services regarding outpatient addiction services in the satellite offices; and with the Director of Community Support Services regarding services for the Dually-Diagnosed (MICA) population.
- Supervise Clinical Managers and other staff, as appropriate, to assure ongoing intra- department flow of information, consistency of service delivery, and adherence to policies and procedures.
- Perform annual evaluation of service Clinical Managers, administrative assistants, and any other staff or whom direct-report or consultant evaluator assignment has been made.
- Conduct regular and ongoing analyses of programs/services in order to monitor and assure the overall quality and quantity of patient care provided.
- Maintain professional relationships with community partners and referrals sources to maximize referrals.
- Develop and maintain annual goals and objectives for the service area, including an ongoing assessment of progress towards completion of goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with other Directors and the President/CEO in the establishment and accomplishment of Southwestern’s goals and objectives and in assuring the consistent implementation of policies and procedures. Provide backup to other services areas in the absence of other Directors regarding interpretation of policies and procedures.
- Continue to enhance expertise in the clinical issues related to individuals with addiction problems and serve as a resource for other service areas in relation to issues for this population.
- This could include conducting various consultation and education activities as community education programs, in-service training programs to other professional groups, as well as intra-office in-service activities.
- Represent Southwestern at various meetings with other agency personnel concerning issues relevant to the substance abuse population and monitor and participate in relevant community and/or state initiative related to this population.
