Payroll Manager

Midwestern Pet Foods, Inc., a family‑owned company producing high‑quality pet food since the 1940s, is seeking a Payroll Manager to join our team and lead our payroll operations with accuracy, efficiency, and expertise. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with UKG Ready
, as well as a solid understanding of multi‑state payroll, taxes, insurance, and compliance.

This is a full‑time on‑site role for a Payroll Manager based in Evansville, IN. The Payroll Manager will oversee the end‑to‑end payroll process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations. Responsibilities include managing payroll systems, handling garnishments and payroll deductions, calculating and remitting payroll taxes, and collaborating with HR on employee benefits. The Payroll Manager will also contribute to improving payroll processes and resolving employee payroll inquiries efficiently.

• Proficiency in Payroll Administration and Payroll Management, with experience in overseeing accurate and timely payroll processing.
• Knowledge of handling Garnishments and Payroll Taxes, including compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Experience handling multi‑state payrolls, insurance and compliance regulations.
• Understanding of Employee Benefits and the ability to collaborate with HR teams to coordinate benefit deductions.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
• Proficiency in payroll software and systems; experience with relevant systems is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information appropriately.
