Human Resources Generalist

Sterling Healthcare is seeking a people-focused and experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our Riverwalk Communities team. This position will support the community in Human Resources, serving as a trusted resource for employees, leaders, residents, and families.

• Manage day-to-day HR functions, including recruitment, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and employee orientation.
• Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and ensure required employment documentation is completed.
• Partner with community leadership on employee relations, performance management, coaching, and workplace concerns.
• Coordinate employee benefits and assist employees with benefit-related questions.
• Support employee engagement, recognition, retention, and professional development initiatives.
• Ensure HR practices and documentation comply with applicable federal, state, and local requirements.
• Maintain knowledge of healthcare and long-term care employment regulations and provide guidance to leadership and employees as needed.
• Coordinate performance evaluations, probationary reviews, and other employment processes.
• Participate in community leadership and department meetings as appropriate.

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Previous HR Generalist or similar HR experience; healthcare or long-term care experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of recruitment, employee relations, onboarding, benefits, performance management, and HR compliance.
• Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with community leadership.
• A professional, approachable, and service-focused attitude.
