Information Technology Intern - Fall 2026

Easterseals Rehabilitation Center is seeking an independent, self‑motivated, and detail‑oriented individual with a passion for Information Technology and customer service to join our two‑person IT team for the fall semester, August 31st to December 23rd.

Applicants must apply on our career site or the Work and Learn Indiana site and be eligible for EARN Indiana funds. To be eligible for an EARN Indiana internship, a student must:

• Be an Indiana resident
• File the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)
• Be enrolled full‑time or part‑time at an eligible Indiana college or university and have a Student Aid Index (SAI) of no more than 24,570 (based on the student’s 2026‑2027 Free Application for Federal Student Aid)
• Not have a bachelor’s degree prior to the term in which the student plans to work
• Meet any other criteria established by the Commission

The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of the IT work at Easterseals, assisting in the planning, diagnosis, repair, and installation of information technology, equipment, and systems. The intern will also support users via the helpdesk and in person, and will be supervised and mentored by the IT Manager and the Director of Information Systems. Job duties may be refined as skills and interests develop, enabling a rich learning experience.

Hours:

20 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 7 am and 5 pm. The schedule may be flexible within these hours but must be adhered to once set.

Pay: $14.00 per hour.

• Troubleshoot computer equipment using common practices and research tools.
• Monitor antivirus software, updates, and repair computers and assist users.
• Install computers, printers, and networking components.
• Maintain confidentiality and security in an environment governed by HIPAA.
• Prioritize tasks according to guidance.
• Employ solutions in a virtualized server environment.
• Participate as part of a team, assisting users to achieve solutions.
• Provide customer support and document solutions.
• Engage in special projects around programming, data science, and related areas, depending on interest and skill level.
• Independent travel may be required as the team serves 11 locations; the two most distant locations are in Mt. Vernon and Chandler.

• Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs. routinely.
• Focus of study related to Information Technology.
• Exceptional customer service skills, solid troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
• Experience with Windows 11.
• Knowledge of networking technologies and printer support preferred.
• Experience with administering the Microsoft 365 Cloud Suite valued.
• Awareness of PC hardware components, desktop operating system software, application software, and current technology trends.
• Keen interest in computer‑based information systems and technology.
