DevOps Architect​/Principal Engineer

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Dev Ops Architect/Principal Engineer in Evansville, IN. Responsibilities:

• Dev Ops Architect/Principal Engineer will be accountable for defining, socializing, and driving strategies for harmonizing Dev Ops capabilities and services.
• Keep apprised of evolving industry capabilities and standards, seeking opportunities to leverage.
• Work with technology leaders to understand product roadmaps and to define and evolve the Dev Ops approach to facilitate broadening business objectives.
• Support the creation of a Dev Ops target state platform and collaborate with technology teams to evolve delivery capability atop the platform.
• Build and automate the Dev Ops platform to ensure resiliency, performance, reproducibility, scalability, and full stack observability.
• Evolve release engineering advancing identifiable, reproducible, and consistent practices which matures the ability to build, track, and consistently deliver complex cross-cutting products.
• As a Dev Ops Architect/Principal Engineer, you will assess and recommend environment strategies both in the cloud and on the ground that effectively accelerate predictable delivery and reduce cycle time.
• Develop architectural prototypes to wring out risk from new solutions.
• Produce artifacts (e.g. architecture logical and physical models, standards, and archetypes) that support the implementation of the Dev Ops strategy and work with product teams to ensure alignment with enterprise standards.
• Evolve and publish metrics driving continuous improvement in quality, efficiency, and speed.

Requirements:

• BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field;
  Advanced degree desired.
• 8 years+ of experience in a Sr Dev Ops role showing progressive experience with at least 3+ years as a Dev Ops Principal Engineer.
• Strong engineering, communication, operational and organizational skills. Proven ability to recruit, motivate, and mentor geographically distributed high-performing teams.
• Experienced in streamlining and modernizing OnPrem data centers by adopting a unified Dev Ops approach across the public and private cloud with containerization and infrastructure as code.
• Experience in the design and build out of the Dev Ops platform with integrations to a curated set of tools exposed as interfaces and advanced but easy-to-manage logging, alerting, and monitoring strategies for full stack observability and quick problem resolution.
• Strong troubleshooting and process management skills.
