Test Engineer; Mainframe

Project description

We are looking for a skilled Test Engineer with experience in mainframe testing to support end-to-end testing activities. The candidate will contribute to test planning, execution, and quality assurance while ensuring reliable and accurate validation of systems and data.

• Test Planning & Execution
  • Support the development of test strategies and detailed test plans.
  • Execute test cases and ensure proper documentation of results.
  • Participate in functional, integration, and system testing activities.
• Mainframe Testing
  • Perform testing across mainframe systems including batch, online, and integration processes.
  • Validate data accuracy and system behavior across applications.
  • Assist in coordinating test activities across dependent systems.
• Automation Support
  • Contribute to the development and execution of automation scripts where applicable.
  • Identify opportunities to improve test efficiency through automation.
• Defect Management & Reporting
  • Log, track, and manage defects through the defect lifecycle.
  • Participate in defect triage meetings and support issue resolution.
  • Provide regular updates on test progress, defects, and quality metrics.

• Experience in test planning and execution.
• Knowledge of mainframe testing (batch and online systems).
• Basic understanding of integration testing.
• Familiarity with test automation frameworks (preferred but not mandatory).
• Experience with defect tracking tools and reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

• Experience in data validation or data migration testing.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
