Job Overview
When you join our team you will provide support to the collections operation by acquiring, distributing, and maintaining supplies and equipment used in the day-to-day blood collections operation. You will also be responsible for the delivery and return of materials to internal and external customers.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage blood collection equipment and supplies including boxes, labels, and canteen supplies. Prepare blood collection kits in accordance with established directives.
Take inventory and order supplies from the warehouse, maintaining collection supply and equipment area. Fill order requisitions from mobile and fixed sites.
Interact in a positive, proactive, and customer-focused manner with both internal and external customers.
May drive blood collection vehicles to load and unload required supplies and equipment where applicable and as needed.
Monday – Friday 7:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Variable schedule that may include early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays to best meet donor and community needs.
Schedule is provided two to three weeks in advance.
Starting rate $17.76 per hour.
High school diploma or equivalent (required).
Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills (required).
Valid driver’s license with a good driving record (required).
Ability to carry moderate weight (required).
Operational flexibility and ability to lift or move up to 75 pounds, reach, bend, kneel, climb, push, pull, and work in tight spaces (required).
Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools and work with chemicals and solvents (required).
Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (required).
Prior inventory control experience.
