Utility Maintenance Associate

Utility Maintenance Associate – The TJX Companies, Inc.

Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment and minor building maintenance. Ensuring safe and efficient building operations while assisting maintenance mechanics in routine troubleshooting and repairs.

• Perform basic preventative maintenance and routine repairs on various in‑house systems to include conveyor, material handling equipment, tagging machines, storage equipment, vehicles, etc. Assist in troubleshooting, lubricate, adjust, and replace parts.
• Carry out maintenance services in two or more skill areas, including plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, electrical, heating, etc. May perform basic maintenance duties such as minor construction, landscaping, cleaning, etc.
• Assist maintenance mechanics in major equipment repairs, electrical repairs, and installations in accordance with established safety procedures. Requisition s new supplies and equipment as necessary.
• Perform special projects or duties as assigned.

• Minimum High School Diploma or higher
• Vocational training in basic preventative maintenance is preferred
• Six months to one year experience in a preventative maintenance capacity with demonstrated mechanical knowledge
• Ability to work with limited supervision
• Be flexible with changing hours, demands, and priorities

This position has a starting pay range of $21.00 to $22.00 per hour. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
