AboutThe Role
The Supervisor-In-Training (SIT) is a structured developmental opportunity designed to prepare high-potential individuals for supervisory responsibilities. Through hands‑on experience and mentorship, the SIT will gain exposure to operational processes, team leadership, safety and quality standards, and continuous improvement strategies. This role supports daily operations while building the skills necessary to transition into a full‑time Supervisor position. This is a 5‑phased approach where responsibilities may not show up until later in the program.
Yourresponsibilities
- Shadow and assist experienced supervisors in managing daily production activities
- Learn and apply standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and quality standards
- Monitor workflow and support process improvements
- Participate in team meetings, coaching sessions, and performance discussions
- Support employee engagement and help resolve minor team issues
- Develop communication and conflict resolution skills
- Understand and promote a culture of safety by adhering to all safety regulations
- Participate in safety audits, incident investigations, and corrective action planning
- Assist in identifying process improvement opportunities using lean principles or other methodologies
- Contribute to small‑scale improvement projects and track progress
- Apply continuous improvement methodologies including 5S, Root Cause Problem Solving (RPS), standard work practices, and other lean principles to drive operational excellence
- Complete structured training modules related to leadership, operations, and compliance
- Maintain accurate records of training, observations, and development milestones
- Practice decision‑making in real‑time scenarios with supervisor oversight
- Analyze operational challenges and propose solutions for review
- High school diploma or equivalent required; in the process of obtaining an associate’s degree in business or manufacturing is preferred.
- Prior experience in manufacturing, logistics, or plant operations is a plus.
- Demonstrated leadership potential and strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and adapt to changing priorities.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, timekeeping systems, SAP, etc.).
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

US pay transparencyThe base salary range for this role will vary based on experience in job and industry, training and education, skills relevant to the position, and other factors permitted by law. In addition to the base salary, the position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, which is subject to change each year.
