Overview
The Operator position supports the packing of finished products according to item specifications. The role ensures correct bags and labels are prepared and used, monitors the sealing process, and verifies product presentation meets expectations.
What You'll Do2nd Shift: 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM
3rd Shift: 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM
Pay adjustments: $1 increase at 90 days, then another $1 after 9 months.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Sample procedures to ensure quality checks
- Attention to detail and record keeping
- Review and plan for the daily production schedule specific to your position
- Stage raw material (bags, supersacks) inventory
- Must be able to drive a fork truck
- Tracking and trending SPC charting for bag weights and make necessary adjustments
- Ensure hourly metal detector checks are completed and documented
- Maintain a clean workspace during production and at the end of the shift
- Reports to the Lead Operator
- Report all accidents and near-misses immediately
- Report maintenance issues to Lead Operator to enter into the maintenance work order system
- Create positive relationships with coworkers
- Other duties and projects as assigned

Minimum Requirements Experience- Strong organizational skills and excellent communication skills
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English to understand job terminology
- Ability to comprehend and follow written and/or verbal procedures or instructions
- Ability to organize and plan ahead to maximize job efficiency and safety
- Drive for excellence; focus on internal relationships
- High School Diploma or GED
Skills & Qualifications
- 1+ years of manufacturing experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Food manufacturing plant
- Warehouse environment
- Laboratory environment
- Ability to work in a confined space
- Ability to kneel, bend, squat, stoop, carry, climb, reach, stand, grip, push, pull, and perform elevated work
- Stand and walk for up to 12 hours
- Lift up to 50 pounds repetitively
- Work in hot, cold or wet environments
- Ability to work any shift up to 7 days a week
