FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
MACHINE OPERATOR ROLE:
- Supply machine with blank goods; calculate number of parts needed to complete the order
- Monitor and ensure quality throughout the production process.
- Number labels on each order in sequence and place completed boxes on skids and individual parts in totes or on tray packs; complete the corresponding paperwork for each order.
- Place product of poor quality in a scrap box. Products made of like materials are placed in the same box.
- Sweep, 5S, clean around machine
REWORK ROLE:
- Purify suspect product in AW Warehouse
- Sort bad product, rebox product as needed
- Observe how the Rework department operates
- Inspect/label as needed
- Assist 5S as needed
QUALITY ASSURANCE ROLE:
- Job shadow Quality inspectors
- Performing checks on line of printed items
- Challenge Metal Detectors
- Challenge Skid Scanners
- Assist with 5S as needed
OPERATOR ASSISTANT ROLE:
- Shadow Operator assistant
- Assist with OA duties - giving breaks, making boxes
- Assist with restocking machine supplies
- Assist with 5s as needed
GANTRY/PALLETIZING ROLE:
- Assist with palletizing orders/product
- Ensure palletizing area is 5S and maintained daily
- Observe how gantry system functions
- Label product boxes as necessary
- Ensure gantry system runs efficiently
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to lift 40 pounds
- Ability to climb ladders / steps
- Ability to stand and walk for a minimum of 2 hours
- Visual acuity of at least 20/50 for distance and a minimum near vision ability to read 10-12-point font at 12-18 inches and ability to pass Ishahara Color Vision Test
