Maintenance Mechanic

We are a leading company in the plastics industry, dedicated to producing high-quality products while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to support our production operations and ensure equipment runs reliably and efficiently.

The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing machinery and equipment in a plastics manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate has experience with pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems, and a strong mechanical aptitude. Experience with automation, robotics, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is preferred.

Key responsibilities include:

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Perform electrical maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment
• Assist with installation, calibration, and maintenance of production equipment
• Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
• Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to resolve equipment issues
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in manufacturing or plastics industry
• Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Electrical maintenance experience required
• Experience with automation, robotics, and PLCs preferred
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working in various physical positions as needed
