Machine Operator | Evansville, IN | Starting Pay $21.10 per hour

Join Silgan Closures, America's largest metal food packaging producer, as a Machine Operator in Evansville, IN. We're looking for skilled operators to operate automatic presses and luggers, compound machines, and ovens.

  Starting at $21.10 per hour plus shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shifts

• Operate, maintain, adjust, and diagnose sheet fed presses and luggers, compound machines, and ovens
• Change loads of plate
• Inspect caps (visually and using instrumentation)
• Remove full cartons, position empty cartons, seal and stack full cartons
• Assist with removing and installing tooling, guides, and chutes. Perform simple tool polishing.
• Setup and adjust timing mechanisms
• Remove jams and lubricate equipment
• Complete required paperwork

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required
• Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and twist/bend for extended periods
• Must be able to climb ladders, be lifted in scissor lift, and work at heights
