Quality Assurance Inspector

Job Description RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Communicate with employees from the prior shift.
2. Complete the daily inspection reports
3. Check cycle times of Injection molding machines only.
4. Gather samples of product from molding machines in your designated area of production.
5. Inspect caps, containers, lids and laminate
6. Weigh / gauge parts and document your findings.
7. Notify molding technicians of defective product.
8. Place tested product in designated scrap boxes by material type.
9. Call colors on start-ups and color changes.
10. Check lines in molding and thermo as time allows.
11. Knowledge of Complaint Pro in system and ISO procedures.
12. Maintain and enforce all company safety, environmental and Department of Health requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High school diploma / GED equivalent and have the ability to calculate parts requirements
2. Strong organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
3. Color vision within normal limits (according to Ishihara screen).4. Ability to work in awkward positions
5. Minimum lifting of 25 lbs.
6. Ability to reach and lift 25 lbs. above shoulder height
7. Ability to grasp and manipulate small objects with either hand
8. Minimum corrected / uncorrected vision of 20/409. Strong Basic Computer Skills AUTHORITIES:
1. Measure production parts
2. Reject defective product
