Plastisol Mixer

Join Silgan Closures, America’s largest metal food packaging producer, as a Plastisol Mixer in Evansville, IN. We’re looking for a highly motivated, quality-minded individual to receive, transport, and mix ingredients for plastisol batch production.

• Pay:
  Starting at $21.10 per hour plus shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shifts

• Receive, transport, and mix ingredients for plastisol batch production
• Operate forklifts, computer-controlled mixers, powder conveying systems, and other production equipment
• Follow production recipes and schedules to ensure accurate batch preparation
• Perform quality control testing using computerized lab equipment
• Set up production materials, drums, totes, and equipment
• Unload incoming tanker trucks and verify raw materials
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe
• Handle hazardous waste in accordance with company procedures
• Perform equipment inspections and other duties as assigned

• Forklift certification or ability to become certified
• Valid driver's license required
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
• Ability to wear and use respiratory protection equipment
• Experience in manufacturing, material handling, or batch processing preferred
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted
• Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and production equipment
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach for extended periods
