Major & Corporate Giving Officer

Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Ohio Valley (RMHCOV) is seeking an experienced, relationship-driven fundraising professional to join our growing team as Major & Corporate Giving Officer.

This role will lead efforts to cultivate, solicit, and steward transformational philanthropic investments that strengthen our mission today while helping build the foundation for continued growth and long-term sustainability.

Working closely with the CEO and Advancement Team, the Major & Corporate Giving Officer will develop meaningful relationships with high-capacity individuals, corporations, family foundations, and philanthropic organizations throughout our region. The primary focus of this position will be securing gifts of $25,000 and above, expanding our portfolio of major philanthropic partners, and developing long-term investment strategies that support our programs, operations, strategic growth, and future capital initiatives.

• Build, manage, and grow a portfolio of major gift prospects and donors with the capacity to make gifts of $25,000 or more.
• Develop personalized cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies that deepen donor relationships and inspire continued investment.
• Conduct discovery meetings, donor visits, and relationship-building opportunities throughout RMHCOV's service area.
• Develop and present compelling philanthropic opportunities aligned with organizational priorities.
• Partner with the CEO on principal gift strategies and engagement with high-capacity donors.
• Build strategic corporate partnerships that extend beyond traditional sponsor ships to include multi-year investments, cause marketing, employee engagement, workplace giving, and strategic philanthropy.
• Cultivate relationships with corporate executives, foundations, and philanthropic leaders throughout the region.
• Support capital campaigns, naming opportunities, comprehensive fundraising initiatives, and future expansion efforts.
• Help identify and cultivate planned and legacy giving opportunities.
• Maintain strong moves management practices within the organization’s CRM, including donor interactions, proposals, commitments, and stewardship activities.
• Monitor the major gift pipeline, revenue goals, forecasts, and donor trends to identify opportunities for continued growth.
• Represent RMHCOV throughout the community and help strengthen awareness, relationships, and philanthropic engagement across our region.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in nonprofit management, communications, business, marketing, public relations, or a related field.
• Three or more years of progressively responsible experience in fundraising, major gifts, business development, nonprofit leadership, or a related field preferred.
• Demonstrated success cultivating relationships and securing significant philanthropic or business investments, including five- and six-figure gifts.
• Exceptional relationship-building, networking, communication, and stewardship skills.
• Ability to think strategically while successfully managing an active portfolio of relationships and opportunities.
• Experience with CRM and donor management systems.
• Ability and willingness to travel throughout RMHCOV's service area.
