Student Nurse Academy Fall 2026 (SNA)

Build your confidence and clinical skills in a real hospital setting. The Student Nurse Academy is designed for nursing students who have completed at least one clinical rotation and are ready to expand their hands-on experience while working alongside experienced Registered Nurses.

Participants gain valuable exposure to patient care, clinical equipment, and hospital workflows in a supportive, precepted environment that strengthens both skill and confidence as they progress through their nursing education.

Gain hands-on patient care experience in a hospital setting

Communicate with patients, families, and the healthcare team

Monitor and document vital signs and patient information

Perform duties delegated by licensed RN staff under supervision

Work with clinical equipment and support routine patient care activities

Build confidence through real-world nursing practice and mentorship

The Student Nurse Academy helps bridge classroom learning with real clinical experience while building relationships with nursing staff and leadership. This program supports long-term career growth and can open the door to future employment opportunities with Deaconess after graduation.

Level 1: $16.60/hr

Level 2: $17.60/hr

Level 3: $18.60/hr

Currently enrolled in an accredited RN nursing program (AACN, CCNE, or ACEN)

Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Submission of unofficial transcript required

Completion of at least one semester of clinical rotations
