    Hours:

    36 (will accept 48 upon request); OT will go into effect after 52hrs on 48hr contracts
  • Unit/Setting:
    Primary location Midtown;
    Shift Requirement: 12hr Nights 6:30-7;
    Float Requirement:
    First to float within skillset;
    Deaconess Newburgh (IN) campus (8 miles apart) & potential to float to Deaconess Henderson (KY 11 miles); 2 HR notice given for cross campus float;
    Cross-campus mid-shift float is unlikely but possible;
    On Call/Call Back: N/A;
    Weekend/Holiday:
    Three weekends out of every six weeks;
    Every other holiday
  • Required Certs:
    Must have current active compact license; AHA BLS and NIHSS
  • Minimum Experience:

    2 years Med/Surg; 1 travel assignment; trauma level II
  • Charting:
    Recent EPIC experience required (checkoff class)
  • Patient Population:
    Med/Surg population – post-surgical, UTI, sepsis, high fall risk, COPD, CHF
  • Skillset:
    Remote tele, chest tubes, NG/PEG tubes, straight cath/Foleys, ostomies, Heparin drips, blood/blood product administration, tracheostomy care, PCA management; strong assessment and critical thinking skills required

  • Unit Information: 41 beds
  • Patient/Staffing Ratio:
    Days 1:4-5; NOCs 1:6-7
  • Unit Strengths:
    Experienced leadership, CNA support
  • Scrubs policy:
    No competing health systems or agency logos
  • Note:

    Teaching hospital; mentoring/precepting may be required
