This position also offers an outstanding chance to gain advanced nursing experience in a leading Ortho Neuro Trauma environment at a teaching hospital, working alongside dedicated staff and esteemed leadership.

As a Medical-Surgical RN with a focus on ortho, neuro, and trauma care, youll be part of a high-acuity, 44-bed unit renowned for exceptional team collaboration and a supportive learning environment. Travel nursing here means building your clinical expertise, adapting to new protocols, and broadening your network all while adding valuable skills and leadership exposure to your professional journey.

Schedule/Hours
  • 13-week assignment
  • Guaranteed 36 hours per week (option for 48 hours)
  • Night shifts: 12hr, 6:30 pm 7:00 am
  • Bi-weekly orientation
  • Three weekends every six weeks; every other holiday
  • Required to float within skillset to nearby campuses with advance notice
Qualifications
  • Active compact RN license
  • BLS (AHA) and NIHSS certifications
  • Minimum 2 years RN experience, with at least 1 year in ortho/neuro/trauma
  • One prior travel assignment
  • Level II trauma center experience
  • EPIC charting proficiency
  • Strong neuro assessment skills, PIV insertion, log rolling, and assistive device application
  • Stepdown/telemetry experience with 12-lead EKG interpretation
Preferred Skills
  • Chest tube/drain management, drip administration, epidural care, PEG/NG tube handling, wound care
Responsibilities
  • Deliver patient-centered care to trauma, ortho, and neuro populations
  • Float to nearby campuses as needed (advance notice provided)
  • Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
  • Participate in teaching and preceptorship as required
