Lab Technician

Our client in consumer packaged goods manufacturing is seeking a  
** Lab Technician
** to join their team. The ideal candidate will have team playing, lab skills and trainability which will align successfully in the organization.

* ** Pay Range: $20.00 - $23 hourly*

* Contract:

Long term/conversion to permanent possible*
* ** Shift: M - F: 8a - 4:30p (flexible on start time up to 9am)*
* ** Overtime Weekend Hours available but NOT required (paid time and a half)*

* Job Duties:

*
* + Collect, prepare, and analyze routine quantitative samples of raw materials, finished products and premixes.

+ Perform chemical quality control tests of vitamins and other nutrients following established methods and utilizing accepted laboratory techniques.

+ Operate laboratory instruments.

+ Perform duties required in the routine maintenance of a safe and appropriate laboratory environment which is compliant with company and regulatory standards.

+ Maintain current, complete, legible notebooks and laboratory records in compliance with good scientific and regulatory practices.

* What we're looking for:

*
* + Bachelor's degree in science (Chemistry, Biology, Food Science, etc.)   **- OR
- ** Equivalent Lab experience and skills will also be considered.

* Required:

Experience with Microbiology and familiarity with aseptic technique (through work or schooling)*
* + Demonstrates ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

+ Experience using Microsoft based computer applications a must.
