Bakery Manager

The Bakery Manager will perform all the duties and job functions of an experienced clerk. Must have the ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader and demonstrate a commitment to excellent customer service. Responsibilities include maintaining strict adherence to department and company safety guidelines, assigning duties to the team as needed, training new teammates, processing incoming products from bakery plant and direct store delivery vendors, ordering decorated cakes from the bakery plant, rotating product and straightening displays, ensuring department standards are met, writing orders for the day and setting up timeline for production schedule, providing friendly and courteous service in person and on the phone, receiving and stocking orders, understanding and practicing proper sanitation procedures, and following inventory control procedures to ensure quality production, accuracy and product rotation.

Requirements include minimum six months of management experience and minimum six months of bakery experience. The position is 40 hours per week. Flexible availability including weekends is important in our retail environment. Hours may range from 4:00 a.m.
