Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement sales plans using Airgas initiatives and guidelines to obtain orders and establish new accounts
  • Qualify and connect with sales leads
  • Nurture customer relationships, developing an understanding of the customer's business and establishing consultative relationships
  • Prepare sales proposals, quoting pricing, establishing credit terms, estimating delivery dates based on production schedules and logistics
  • Keep current with industry insights, product mixes, and stay informed of market trends
  • Collaborate with internal resources to accomplish success milestones and maintain communication with departments about customer successes and opportunities
  • Maintain and submit sales reports: daily call reports, weekly work plans, monthly/annual territory analyses as requested by District Manager through SAP
  • Actively review and manage accounts receivable balances to protect working capital and support risk reduction
Required Qualifications
  • Reliable transportation, current driver's license, minimum liability insurance as required by state
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Google Suites
  • Prior outside B2B sales experience with proven solution-selling concepts and a history of managing customers in a defined sales territory
  • Knowledge of customer segmentation and ability to prioritize targeting high‑value customers
  • Proven success using a consultative sales approach to provide value and establish a mix of sales solutions and products
  • Proven success using deep knowledge of the customer's business and market trends to identify new business opportunities
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with industrial and specialty gases, or a background in industrial gas & welding supply sales
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (4 years) work experience
  • 3+ years of outside sales experience preferred
