Full Job Description
The National Fuel Sales Representative plays a key role in driving revenue and growth. This position is responsible for managing and expanding an existing book of business while actively pursuing new opportunities. Success in this role requires a high level of motivation, organization, and competitiveness, along with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, market-driven environment. The position owns the full sales cycle from initial contact through close while working cross-functionally to deliver strong customer outcomes.
Specific Responsibilities
- Build strong, lasting relationships with customers and become their go-to fuel partner
- Grow existing accounts by increasing volume, margin, and overall share of business
- Identify and execute cross-selling opportunities to maximize customer value
- Prospect, cold call, and generate new business - this is a true “hunter” role
- Own the entire sales cycle from initial conversation to fuel delivery
- Stay on top of customer fuel needs, including monitoring tank levels and coordinating keep-full deliveries
- Keep CRM activity updated and maintain a strong, organized sales pipeline
- Monitor sales performance to ensure gross profit (GP) and gallon accuracy
- Stay plugged into market activity, including NYMEX trends, to make informed pricing decisions
- Communicate and deploy pricing updates to customers including evening pricing when needed
- Provide product knowledge and technical support to customers and carriers
- Continuously learn, improve, and sharpen your sales skills

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree required or combination of education and appropriate experience in lieu of a degree. Minimum of 3 years sales experience is preferred. Working knowledge of business-to-business sales process and demonstrated ability to close deals. Experience in Industrial, Automotive, Commercial, Mining, and Construction industries helpful. Intermediate PC skills and working knowledge of Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and other common programs used in a business setting
