The Automotive Sales Consultant is a full-time, on-site role based at Romain Cross Pointe in Evansville, IN. This team member engages with guests on the showroom floor, greeting them, identifying their needs, and guiding them through vehicle selection, test drives, and product demonstrations. The role includes presenting pricing and financing options, preparing sales paperwork, and coordinating with finance and service departments to ensure a smooth delivery process.
Daily responsibilities also involve following up with leads, maintaining accurate records in the CRM system, staying informed on vehicle features and inventory, and supporting dealership sales events. The consultant is expected to provide a professional, welcoming experience that reflects the Romain Value Promise and contributes to overall sales performance.
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, listen actively, and create a positive guest experience.
- Sales and negotiation abilities, including comfort discussing pricing, overcoming objections, and closing vehicle purchases in a professional manner.
- Basic automotive knowledge and willingness to learn vehicle features, technology, and product differences to confidently guide customers.
- Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple guests, follow up on leads, and manage documentation accurately.
- Proficiency with computers and CRM tools, including email, online lead management, and digital sales resources.
- High level of integrity, reliability, and professionalism, with a commitment to non-discriminatory, inclusive customer interactions.
- Ability to work on-site, including evenings and weekends as needed, and collaborate effectively within a team-focused dealership environment.
- Prior retail, customer service, or automotive sales experience is beneficial; a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record is required.
