Responsibilities

  • Manages the Security Department, assisting with staffing, schedules, evaluations, training, development, and monitoring the team. Recommends wage increases, promotions, demotions, discipline, and other employment actions for Team Members.
  • Responsible and accountable for the Security Shift Supervisors, Security Officers, and Emergency Medical Technicians assigned to the Casino and remainder of property areas.
  • Safeguards company assets, including Team Members and guests.
  • Enforces the company's policies and procedures, including rules that apply to the Internal Controls and the Indiana Gaming Commission rules and regulations.
  • Reviews all Patron Accident Reports and Security Incident Reports.
  • Assists with the training of new Security Team members.
  • Escorts chips, tokens, and cash.
  • Maintains patron relations.
  • Assists in the preparation of legal defenses for claims made against the Company.
  • Maintains all claims logs and the claim database.
  • Maintains chronology and records all GL activity.
  • Owns the Emergency Response Manual and conducts training exercises to test response.
  • Assists and helps schedule the use and regular inspection of all safety‑related equipment and supplies on property.
  • Identifies safety issues and communicates with department Manager/Director to eliminate safety issues.
  • Conducts and coordinates Safety and Security related investigations.
  • Maintains required regulatory paperwork (OSHA, etc.) and submits to regulatory agencies by deadline.
  • Administers minor first aid when required.
  • If licensed EMT, provides EMT services to Patrons and Team Members as necessary and within the parameters mandated by State Regulations.
  • Maintains harmony among workers and resolves grievances.
  • Addresses errors and complaints.
  • Must be able to stand, sit, and walk for prolonged periods of time (7+ hours).
  • Must be able to work in an environment with secondhand smoke, loud noises, and large crowds.
  • Always follows the Company Service Standards model.
  • Must be available for regularly scheduled work and be able to work a variety of hours, holidays, and weekends.
  • Other duties may be assigned at any time.
Additional Duties
  • Manages property Safety Program.
  • Serves as the Vice Chairperson for the Safety Committee.
  • Conducts New Hire Orientation safety training.
  • Prepares correspondence, compiles reports, communicates with clients, assists in the adjudication of claims, maintains files, and establishes claims for the Risk Management department.
More Responsibilities

Manages Security staff within the Security Department. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
