Broadband Technician

A Broadband Technician is responsible for performing residential installs and disconnects (data, video, phone) on customer premises, ensuring correct RF and signal levels, providing customer education and upsell opportunities, and operating company vehicles safely.

• Perform residential installs and disconnects (data, video, phone) on customer premises according to organizational standards and specifications.
• Ensure correct RF and signal levels within specifications before completion to reduce repeat calls and truck rolls.
• Maintain effective communication with leadership and dispatch, sustaining performance metrics, safety and time management.
• Provide customer education on new and existing products and services, including potential upsell opportunities to increase satisfaction.
• Operate company vehicle safely and responsibly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0 years of experience (entry level).
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Knowledge of ladders, hand or power tools.
• Strong customer service communication skills (verbal and written).
• Basic computer skills.
• Aptitude to learn new skills.
• Problem‑solving ability.
• Time management skills.
• Teamwork and independent work capability.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
• Work in both climate‑controlled and non‑climate‑controlled environments, including exposure to heat, cold, dust, damp conditions, uneven surfaces, heights, and moving vehicles.
• Prolonged standing, walking, sitting, and driving required.
• Ability to safely climb and work from ladders for extended periods.
• Frequent reaching, pushing, pulling, climbing stairs and ladders, and using hands above and below shoulder level.
• Ability to bend, twist, kneel, squat, crawl, and maintain various body positions while performing fine‑motor tasks, forceful gripping, and limited keyboarding.

• Base pay in Indiana: $18 to $19 per hour, plus opportunities for bonus, benefits, and commission as applicable.
