This is a field-based, hands‑on role where you’ll serve as a trusted technical resource for both the company and its customers.

As a Service Technician, you’ll travel to customer sites in a company‑provided truck to install, inspect, repair, and maintain loading dock equipment, overhead doors, and specialty lift systems. You’ll work independently or alongside a small team, managing your own workflow while delivering high‑quality service in a fast‑paced field environment.

No prior experience? No problem. We offer full training and education to prepare you for success in this industry. If you’re mechanically inclined, eager to learn, and enjoy working with your hands, this role could be a great fit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair loading dock equipment, overhead doors, and specialty lifts
  • Test equipment to ensure it meets performance specifications; diagnose issues and make precise adjustments
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance according to manufacturer specifications
  • Disassemble, dismantle, repair, or replace mechanical and electrical components as needed
  • Plan and execute installations and repairs of new or refurbished machinery
  • Conduct safety inspections and “Red Tag” equipment deemed unsafe
  • Respond professionally to customer questions, requests, and concerns
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times
  • Demonstrate punctuality, reliability, and accountability
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills & Abilities
  • Ability to work with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components
  • Basic understanding of how mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems function independently and together
  • Ability to identify why components fail and determine appropriate repair or replacement solutions
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable working independently and managing tasks in the field
Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Technical certifications (OSHA, HVAC, Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Systems) are a plus
  • Prior experience in field service, maintenance, installation, or industrial equipment repair is preferred but not required
  • Basic mechanical or electrical aptitude is beneficial; comprehensive training is provided
  • Customer service or client‑facing experience is a plus
Why This Role Stands Out
  • Hands‑on, independent fieldwork with variety—no two days are the same
  • Company‑provided truck and tools
  • Paid training and long‑term skill development
  • Opportunity to build a career in a growing technical services industry
