Maintenance Technician (Manufactured Home Community)

We are looking for a hardworking, eager Maintenance Technician to join our team. Primary responsibilities include painting, home remodeling, minor plumbing, electrical work and landscaping. We seek dedicated individuals with a wide variety of skill sets. The ideal candidate will work autonomously and responsibly, observe health and safety guidelines, and take pride in the standards and services delivered to our residents.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the setup and repair of ventilation, refrigeration and other systems.
  • Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality.
  • Inspect alarm systems (fire protection) and schedule repairs when needed.
  • Perform manual repairs (fix locks, replace windows, etc.).
  • Conduct pest control activities such as insecticide spraying.
  • Carry out general upkeep procedures and other tasks as assigned.
  • Maintain grounds and landscaping in tip‑top shape.
  • Assist in budget preparation and ensure adherence to it.
  • Perform mowing, weed eating and hedge trimming; conduct preventative maintenance and repair of equipment.
Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Physically capable of manual labor, including lifting, bending, and reaching.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to lead and work as part of a team.
  • Strong work ethic and organizational skills.
  • High value on doing a good job and self‑supervision.
  • Basic understanding of plumbing and other systems.
  • Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
  • Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices.
  • Manual dexterity and problem‑solving skills.

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience

  • Building maintenance technology or relevant field a plus.
  • Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) desired.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
  • Experience with maintenance tools.

Other Requirements

  • Physical ability to perform manual labor.
